Detector Media analyzed the balance between representatives of different political forces on the United News telethon and on Suspilne.

Suspilne came close to a mathematical ideal in the ratio of comments from government and opposition representatives. This is evidenced by data from the monthly monitoring conducted by Detector Media.

In April, Suspilne aired 73 appearances by government representatives and 75 appearances by opposition representatives.

Overall, in April Suspilne conducted 1,395 interviews with guests, averaging 46.5 conversations per day — nearly two per hour. These figures are slightly higher than in March (45 conversations per day).

The United News telethon hosted 980 appearances by speakers — the second-lowest result in the history of observations (31.6 conversations per day). However, this month, European Solidarity appeared on the state-run marathon for the first time in a year.

Five TV channels synchronously ignored the existence of this faction throughout the past year, but in April 2026, suddenly aired an extended comment by Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze on foreign policy, recorded by the ‘Rada’ channel. This is, of course, not an invitation to the studio with an opportunity to comment on the agenda. But it is a movement in an unequivocally right direction, which we believe will continue,” the conclusions of the Detector Media monitoring state.

It is noted that there were almost no other “opposition” politicians on the telethon: there was one more appearance by Holos and two appearances by non-affiliated MPs. Government representatives, meanwhile, appeared 52 times.

Since early May 2022, Detector Media has been collecting information about people appearing on the United News telethon (see summaries for May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2022; January, February, March, April, May, June, July, October, November, December 2023; January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December 2024; and January, March, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2025, January, February, and March 2026).
